Cake of Kings

They have been selling La galettes des rois since the New Year.  It is a tradition to eat this cake on the Epiphany, but since the Epiphany was on a weekday, many were still being purchased this morning for the Sunday lunch.

The cakes are cooked with a bean or trinket embedded in the layers.  The person who receives the slice with the prize is the king for the day.

We didn't buy one.  We don't eat a lot of sweets, and ..... we already know (or some of us think we know) who the king in this house is.
