We purchased hot dogs at the Place de la Concorde entrance to the Tuileries Gardens and sat in the sun to eat them. And leftovers went to the birds.....................
The Tuileries Gardens, extending from Place de la Concorde to the Louvre palace, were designed in 1664 by Andre' Le Notre, Louis XIV's favorite landscape designer.
The Parisians really enjoy their parks, especially when the sun comes out. The green chairs fill up with bodies whose faces are tilted toward the sun. On this sunny afternoon, even the wooden boats were out and the lawn was already being mowed.
We feel so lucky to have had these gorgeous days in mid-January!
