Although it was a blustery day, Alli and Billy headed to the Eiffel Tower. Rick and I checked off one of the things on his "to do" list. We went to the Memorial du Marechal Leclerc de Hauteclocque et de la Liberation de Paris and the Musee Jean Moulin.
Jean Moulin
The two memorials are connected and the site is located over Gare Montparnesse.
Moulin was a major organizer of the resistance during WWII; and General Leclerc was a major player in the Free French Army, and he led the French 2nd Armoured Division down Bvd St. Germaine to liberate the city.
The best part of the museums was the gallery connecting them, which has a wall of still and moving images presenting the main stages of the uprising, up to the parade on August 26 on the Champs-Elysées.
