I was really excited to go to three venues for brocantes (flea markets) this weekend. I was on another mission, and looking for something in particular.
The first was in the same place, across the street, that I went to see the art exhibition last weekend. It was more antiques than brocantes; at least what I was expecting as brocantes.
Not exactly my mission.............nor in my price range................but it was lots of fun to wander through the different stands of gorgeous furniture, silver, and art pieces.
I loved these glass jars, but they weren't really what I was looking for either................
Then I walked over to Village St. Paul, which is a courtyard several blocks from where I live. It was more like the flea market I was hoping for.
And I found what I was looking for. But I won't tell what it is, because it's a Christmas present.
The third venue was the American Church in Paris. Saturday they had their holiday bazaar. It was like every holiday bazaar I've ever been to in the US. They had baked goods, childrens' games, and Christmas decorations. They had a "boutique" and brocante too. The brocante was cheaper, but nothing I wanted.
Here's a photo of the American Church in Paris. Everyone spoke English there.
