Today was my first French class! And it turned out fine...........
The first great thing is that I found it. Luckily the Metro stop for the building is on a line that leaves from right outside my door. I had seventeen stops on the metro before I got there, but I got a seat so it wasn't too bad.
And when I got outside the Metro station, the building was right across a little square and it had a big sign on it. And the rooms inside were numbered.
There were eight women in the class today, four Americans counting me, two Australians, a Finnish gal, and a South African. Actually it was really fun being part of a group and it wasn't too hard. One of the women is from Seattle.
The first thing the teacher asked me was if I had registered and I couldn't understand her. So one of the Australians had to help me out. But after a bit I got used to her speech, and had no problem following the lessons of the day..............pronouns with direct and indirect objects, and imperatives.
I even have homework.
