Coffee Prices in Paris

I drink a lot of espresso here.  Mostly because when I get tired of walking, sitting in a
café, watching the world walk, by is a nice break.

Today I stopped at a busy café, Cafe St Severin, at the corner of St. Michael and the quai, just across the street from a bridge crossing the Seine to Notre Dame.  It was raining and cold, and I'd been walking for awhile doing some early Christmas shopping. I deserved a warm cup of coffee. 

When I looked at  l'addition  for the cost of my espresso.............it was 3,20 Euros........... the most I have been charged for a simple espresso.  I've seen wine on menus cheaper than that!
