Rick and I checked into the apartment on Saturday, 1 October at 9 a.m. The representative from the rental agency, Frederic, met us at the door. At the first door that is - there are three. He quickly showed us how to do the code for Door One, use a key for Door 2, and before taking us up the lift and showing us how to open the final Door, he showed us where the garbage is located. We quickly went through some paperwork, handed over some more money, and Frederic pointed out the TV, washing machine, and the breaker box. He was in a hurry; he had two more check-ins, and of course, he wanted to get out and enjoy what might be the last warm Saturday in Paris.
The photos online didn't deceive.
The apartment is compact, but not cramped. The photos didn't show a closet and I had been wondering where I would hang my clothes, but Rick found a little curve in the bedroom wall, hidden by a white curtain, that has hooks that hold hangars. There is a tiny terrace off the living room and the same off the bedroom. The bathtub is in the bedroom (although there is a little closet for the W.C.), and there is a beam that goes through the middle of the table.
When Frederic left we went through all of the drawers, cupboards, etc. in the kitchen and were happy to find almost everything we will need to be very happy here.
