The day started with a walk to the Church of Saint-Paul Saint-Louis, several blocks away from the apartment.
We attended Mass with about 100 other people in this beautiful church in the heart of the Marais district. Construction began in 1627 and the first mass was celebrated in 1641.
It doesn't matter that the mass is in another language, the rhythm of the ritual is the same and offers a certain comfort to us Catholic girls.
After Mass we were off to the Sunday marché, to stock up on necessities for the next few days.
And a few things that were not exactly necessary..............
Sunday lunch - very important!
On the terrace because the weather is GREAT!
And later.............a walk to Cimetiere du Pere Lachais, the burial spot (since 1804) of a number of famous and important people.
Chopin Gertrude Stein Jim Morrison
Laura - I'm so glad the weather is so great for you and your friends. I love the pictures you put on the blog. Have a great time!
